Denver Area FileMaker User Group

Welcome to the Denver Area Filemaker User Group! DAFMUG, as we're more commonly known, is the user and developer support group for the Claris line of products in the Denver metropolitan area.

We're here to help all users and developers, regardless of ability, to utilize FileMaker Pro to its full capacity and solve problems. With monthly meetings, occasional events and real-time communication on Discord, we are able to teach and learn from one another using real-life examples.

Our Purpose

DAFMUG's purpose is to provide information about Claris FileMaker and mutual support for our members.

Our History

DAFMUG, Denver Colorado's support group for FileMaker Pro developers and users has been a fixture in Colorado for over 30 years. We started out meeting in east Denver at a popular technology center. In 2001 we decided to give our folks on the west side of town a break and moved to our venue to an occupational training center near the western foothills. Previous meeting sites included Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood and Perkins Restaurant on S. Colorado Blvd. For a few years we met exclusively online.

Currently we are meeting both online or at various social venues, usually on the first Thursday of the month. See our Upcoming Events for information.

Membership

Online or in-person meetngs are generally on the first Thursday evening of the month.
Anyone with an interest in Claris Filemaker and related products is welcome to attend and contribute.

April DAFMUG Meeting (online)

Agentic AI, LLM hosting

We will be taking a closer look at Agentic AI as a design tool for creating and managing FileMaker database solutions. We will look at using natural language to establish the initial focus, direction and activities of our proposed custom solution.

Dean will lead a discussion on his exploration of hosting a LLM (Large Language Model) to optimize the dynamic access required to interact with AI library sources.

Join us as we explore using AI to improve design workflow and expand our development skills to meet the future.

Bring the cool thing you made to solve a problem or bring the problem you're having trouble solving. We love to solve problems.
